Before Jesus said, "I will give you peace," but now He says, "It is in me." Because when Jesus gives us peace it is not like a little shot of tranquility that He puts into our flesh, or causes us to experience some tranquil times as an answer to our prayer. He gives us Himself.
The word peace in Greek means to be a unit or to be at one with someone. It does not have to do with a tranquil feeling; it has to do with being a unit, unified, not fighting against but being at one with, being on the same team with someone.
