It does not say that you will be spared from the storm, the whirlwind. What it says is, when the whirlwind hits you are going to stand because you are founded upon the rock. And being founded upon the rock is not only Jesus Christ but His words too. They go together. You cannot separate the words that Jesus speaks from Him. You cannot say, "I believe in Him," and then not do His words. That does not exist in the Scriptures.
