Our moderation becomes known. Believe it or not, and this is one of the keys in understanding this text. Because every one of us is guilty of not being satisfied in the Lord and not being moderate in certain things. And the Lord allows us to be exploited in those areas. He does it on purpose. He lets me be obsessed with, chase after, rely on, and look to someone or something for my expectancies and for my entitlements. God does this to reveal to me who I am in those areas in which He wants to make change. There is a crack in the wall and the water is spilling out. And God is saying, "We need to repair this." Because to believe in Jesus and to look to other things or other people at the same time is idolatry.
