• Matthew 25:1-13 ~ The Parable of the Ten Virgins

"You see, it is having the oil that makes you ready, the oil being the Holy Spirit. The coming of the Holy Spirit is what saves people. Being born of the Spirit of God is what saves people. That is when Jesus knows us. It is not whether I with my head knowledge know the Lord. It is whether He knows me and has made me personally His by Him coming into my heart and life."
  • Matthew 25:14-30 ~ The Parable of the Talents

"Notice it says, to each according to his own ability. The word translated ability is literally the word capacity. It is interesting that the Lord chose different measurements for people to be entrusted with based on their capacity, their capacity to handle the responsibility. The Lord always entrusts us with whatever our capacity is. We should not compare ourselves to other people. The one with one talent was not better off than the one with five talents. Both are entrusted with the master’s possessions."
  • Matthew 25:31-46 ~ The Pronouncement of Judgement

"It is also comforting to know, for a believer, wherever we go we have Christ with us. And people persecute us because we are Christians. They are not persecuting us because we are Christians, they are persecuting us because that is their response to Christ in us. It is not a response to me as a Christian, but to Christ. The emphasis is on Him, Christ, not people. It is the lack of response to Christ in other people. They reject Christ rather than receive Him."
