Proverbs Chapters 21 – 24

  • Proverbs 22:17-29

And yet the Scripture says we ought to be spending our time on the things of priority. The only thing that is going to last and we can take with us is what Christ has done in our hearts. And this is what we are going to be throughout eternity. So is that not what we should base everything on? Is not that what is important? I mean everything from money to our physical bodies are all going to be left behind. You cannot take it with you; and yet you spend your whole life developing material things rather than your spiritual walk. It makes no sense at all except that Satan has us in the trap. So how are we going to escape if we neglect, that is avoid, seeking the Lord for personal application to what we are hearing? Basically the teacher just stops and says, "There is a warning in this. I am presenting something to you and if all you do is listen to me and you do not apply it to your own heart, then you are going to miss the boat." Nautical term, miss the boat.
