"That is why Jesus said, 'What shall a person give in exchange for their soul?' He says, 'Look what you are giving in exchange.' You are exchanging your soul in order to gather in the wealth of this world and what good is it going to do your soul? Maybe your earthly pilgrimage will be a little more comfortable. Maybe you will have a few more privileges and a higher status. And maybe people will look up to you and consider you as successful for your short time on earth. But that is it. It will not do anything for your soul. You cannot purchase anybody who has died. And you cannot redeem the soul of a loved one from hell. You cannot even ransom your own soul. So really, what good does wealth do?"
