So he says, I am sufficient for all things - not through, but - in the Christ empowering me.  Empowering is a participle.  Not only empowering, that is how we say it in English but it is actually in-powering.  The power of the Lord continually active in the inner man where Christ dwells makes him sufficient for everything.  So as he introduces this sufficiency it is not based upon willpower.  It is not based upon positive thinking.  But Christ was continually in-powering or enabling him in every single situation.  There is no situation in a believer’s life that God's grace cannot cover.
