Lesson Four ~ I Corinthians Chapters 10 – 11

I Corinthians 10:14 – 11:34

Now Paul says, all things do not edify. The word edify is a construction term that means to develop or to build. So Paul says that is what I go by. There is my freedom. All things are lawful for me. I am free in Christ but all things are not beneficial. All things do not develop a relationship with the Lord. I will not be brought under the authority of any thing because all things do not serve for spiritual development. For himself and for others those are his considerations. All things do not contribute to other people's development and growth in Christ. This life is not about acquiring for one's self but rather how your life influences the people around you. Either pull them down or build them up.  Turn them away from Christ or turn them to Christ.
